My first GFCF bread making experience

I had my first gluten-free bread making experience today. I made this recipe for breadsticks. Gluten free bread dough can be kinda sticky so I was thankful for the tip to put it in a bag and squeeze it out.

I made two pans and it's a good thing I did. We really liked them!
While they raised and then baked, I made rice pasta and tomato sauce with hamburger and lots of garlic.

It was a hit! Bean had two plates full!

I'm starting to feel like this isn't quite so overwhelming.

  1. I'm SO happy you're doing so well! We did GF/CF for about 6 months last year because of Jack's Autism. I am not a cook. Not even in the least. And I struggled so much with having to make everything from scratch. You're doing significantly better than I did even after 6 months! I tried making bread a billion times (ok, I'm exaggerating but I did try a lot) and I never managed to get it to turn out. That all looks delicious!! I'm really glad you started this blog, we're thinking about jumping back onto the GF/CF bandwagon and you're quite the inspiration :)

  2. Steph,
If you lived closer we could spend a day every week together doing menu planning and prep work! I would love to have someone to do this with.

Don't beat yourself up. This isn't easy and you have young children. I don't think I could have done this years ago. I'm at a different place in my life now. Do what you can and at the end of the day be gentle with yourself. Your child is getting what he needs most. ♥
